Special Agent Education Teaching Duties

The skills you have acquired are valuable and will assist you in achieving success in the FBI:

  • BA/BS degrees (preferably with a focus on education, or in a related area, with teaching experience).
  • The ability to quickly comprehend the details and facts of a case and then put them into a coherent image that you can convey clearly, both internally and externally.
  • Proficient in understanding the fundamental concepts across various subjects and developing lesson plans and instructional strategies to present and explain information to people from various backgrounds and education levels.
  • Furthermore: Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
  • It would help if you were organized and could maintain an eye on the big picture.
  • The ability to evaluate information objectively and make informed judgments.
  • Honesty and integrity should be the core of who you’re.
  • The desire and determination to contribute to those communities in which you live.

Requirements for Special Agent Education Teaching

Conditions of Employment

  • Be sure to adhere to the strictest rules of behavior.
  • Perform a thorough background investigation, including credit checks, a credit check, and a polygraph to receive a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Acceptance.
  • You must pass the Physical Fitness Test (PFT). You must be physically fit for your training in Quantico, VA’s FBI Academy at Quantico, VA, and keep an active fitness level throughout your professional career.
  • Take a medical test that does not include, but isn’t restricted to, meeting vision or hearing criteria.
  • You will be able to complete 19 weeks of work as a Special Agent trainee while residing within Quantico, the FBI Academy at Quantico.
  • After graduation from the FBI Academy, be available for transfer onto one of the 56 FBI Field Offices, which include San Juan, Puerto Rico, or remote resident agencies (satellite offices) to meet the requirements that the FBI requires. Special Agents seldom return to their office of processing. The applicants should ensure their families are ready and supportive of this decision.
  • Throughout your career, you should be ready for temporary duties in any place in the world on either a temporary or longer-term basis.
  • Aim to work at least a 50-hour workweek. This could include working irregular hours and being available all day on weekends and holidays.
  • Be prepared and willing to participate in the arrest process, execute search warrant raids, and do other similar tasks.

Qualifications.

  • You must: You must be a U.S. citizen.
  • At a minimum, 23 years old and not yet passed your 37th birthday by your appointment date.
  • Hold a bachelor’s or more from a U.S.-accredited university or college.
  • Get a Top Secret SCI Clearance.
  • Two years of full-time, professional work experience (see the work experience waiver for exemptions).
  • It would help if you met the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Employment Eligibility requirements.
  • You must have a valid driver’s license and at least six months of driving experience.

Education has to be accredited by an accrediting organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to be counted towards qualifications. Thus, it would help if you only offered degrees or attendance to schools that are accredited by accrediting institutions accredited as such by the U.S. Department of Education.
